MClass Bulletin for IP Address setup

If you already have Wireless Generation on your whitelist, please contact your IT administrator and add the new Wireless Generation IP addresses to prevent possible disruption of email, assessment, sync, or access to mCLASS:Home.

In July 2012, Wireless Generation will move our web platform to a new data center that will improve the performance of our website and assessments. During this migration, we want to ensure that our customers are able to use our services and receive important email messages from us without any interruption.
If you currently have Wireless Generation on your whitelist (a list of email addresses or web sites that are not filtered as spam, that you can access or receive messages from), we recommend that you contact the appropriate IT administrator for your school or district. To prevent possible disruption of email, assessment, sync, or access to mCLASS:Home, request that the Wireless Generation IP addresses listed below are added to your district whitelist before July 6, 2012.
The IP addresses are grouped according to services that this migration may affect.
Web Sites
Some districts or schools require the explicit whitelisting of web sites that can be accessed from the schools. To avoid issues accessing mCLASS:Home, please add the IP addresses below to the corresponding district/school-level filters*.
- 67.72.17.1 to 67.72.17.126
- 206.188.9.196 to 206.188.9.254
* Please note: this change is more relevant for schools or districts that whitelist IP addresses to access mCLASS:Home instead of whitelisting the domain name.
Email
In some cases, district-level filters mistake Wireless Generation messages for junk mail. This may prevent important service, enrollment, or verification messages from reaching their intended recipients, thereby hindering access to mCLASS:Home. Please add the following IP addresses to your whitelist to ensure important email communications are not blocked:
- 202.129.242.64
- 202.129.242.65
- 38.117.159.160 to 38.117.159.175
- 38.117.158.224 to 38.117.158.238
- 67.72.17.1 to 67.72.17.126
- 206.188.9.196 to 206.188.9.254
- 96.43.144.64 to 96.43.144.65
- 96.43.148.64 to 96.43.148.65
- 182.50.78.64 to 182.50.78.79
- 204.14.232.64 to 204.14.232.79
- 204.14.234.64 to 204.14.234.79
Customers should continue to whitelist the IP addresses they currently have in place and add the addresses listed above.
